Pros

If you want to improve your overall work skills, consider trying your hand at doing the work of two people on your own.

The salary is the absolute minimum required by the Labor Standards Act. The boss says it will be adjusted later, but a colleague told me, “You’re already out in the workforce—do you still believe things like that?”

The boss is also very enthusiastic about encouraging you and giving you a shining salary target. It reminds me of a hamster running on a wheel—run, run, run, charge ahead.

Cons

You might as well just look at the job title in the posting. On the second day after starting, the production control employee was sent to the packaging room to officially begin packaging work.

Then I noticed that the quality assurance colleague was actually operating machinery in the manufacturing room. When I asked, I found out that only 10 minutes a day actually involved quality assurance.

Another colleague was transferred from the Taichung office to Dajia, without any commuting subsidy or salary increase. He was supposedly in business development, but I saw him working on receiving and returning materials.

So what’s the point of dividing up job titles?

As for the environment, the office has air conditioning, but even with it on, you’ll still be sweating profusely. And at night, the cookies will be stolen—not by ghosts, but by mice.

The warehouse is basically a giant oven. After just one minute, you’ll be drenched in sweat; stay any longer and you might become dehydrated and suffer heat exhaustion.

As for the coworkers, there are good and bad ones. The good ones treat you very well; the bad ones also treat you well, but they’ll have a knife behind your back, so be careful not to get hurt.

Employee turnover is high. Within just a few days of my arrival, a colleague resigned, and a few days later someone else was about to leave. It was like a major round of bloodletting, and before long, I resigned too.
