There aren't really any advantages; it's just a dead-end salary.
There is a lot of infighting, and capable people can't be retained. I’m very disappointed with the company’s senior management.
The long-serving employees will stab you in the back if they take a dislike to you, and they really like to pull rank based on seniority.
In particular, a certain export ocean-freight sales employee is a despicable person who loves to act one way in front of people and another behind their backs. If they are unhappy about anything, they immediately make trouble for you. Even managers and colleagues in other departments dislike this person. They have little ability but love showing off, yet cling to the job and refuse to leave—a textbook freeloader.
The company’s Taiwanese employees are opposed to the Japanese employees. In particular, Japanese senior managers will take advantage of you and grope you when no one is around at year-end parties, abusing their power to do all sorts of things, while even long-term employees turn a blind eye and let things slide.
When the company wants you to leave, it will not comply with the Labor Standards Act. It will definitely use underhanded tactics to avoid paying severance and force you out.
Conclusion: If you have nothing else to do, by all means, don’t come here and waste your time.
