The quality and English of Shopee’s HR staff will bring you a lot of laugh-out-loud joy.

Dcard is flooded with negative reviews of the HR department at a certain seafood e-commerce company—like everyone has been burned by them 😅😅😅
I won’t go into its past incidents here.

For example, this post:
Today, I happened to see that the HR person at Shopee 🦐 was being mischievous again.
They’re really both clueless and cheeky, haha 😄
May I ask, does this orange e-commerce company not screen its HR applicants at all? 😅🤭
Their English is excellent. ☺️
They don’t even proofread before posting.
They work very sloppily 🙃
Should this seafood e-commerce company be providing employees with eye exams or basic English courses now? 🤣😂
Everyone, hurry up and apply for “merketing”
to help HR meet their performance targets.
Addendum: The last sentence in HR’s English was: “if you have interested about the position” 😂🤣
This highly “creative” English really exposed their level.
How embarrassing.
Repeat after me:
if you have interested about the position 😜
if you have interested about the position 🤪
if you have interested about the position 🤨
Anyone with eyes can see that this company’s standards are stuck at that level.
The rumors of internal chaos really weren’t exaggerated.
With HR of this caliber, it really can’t compare with genuine century-old European and American multinationals.
That’s just how the “talent” is at Southeast Asian Chinese-funded startup e-commerce companies.
