Pros

A little more freedom

Cons

Congratulations on finding this post. Don’t act impulsively and make the wrong decision.

My job title is network engineer / field engineer.

To put it bluntly, the job is basically a watered-down version of a cable-installation electrician.

Not a network engineer who manages networks.

The job has zero technical content. When you look for another job in the future,

the next company will hear what you did

and simply tell you, “I don’t recognize your previous work experience.” It’s miserable.

There are no weekends, no overtime pay, no on-call pay, no typhoon days off,

and no national holidays.

Work hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

That’s always a full 10 hours.

The idea of working 8 hours and having 2 hours of rest? Bullshit.

You will definitely work the full hours.

If I don’t get home close to 10 p.m. every day, I’ll lose.

Customers often schedule installations to start at 8 p.m.

Each installation takes at least an hour, possibly not including the explanation.

What time do you think you’ll get home?

Why mention the explanation?

Because customers have misunderstandings, misconceptions, or simply don’t understand.

It all gets blamed on you. The company won’t help you; you have to handle it yourself.

Then they’ll come back and criticize you.

You have to provide your own installation tools.

You also have to provide your own vehicle.

Every month, you also have to spend a day going to Taoyuan for an unpaid meeting.

If you don’t go, they deduct money—or you can say goodbye to the job.

They frequently violate the Labor Standards Act. ==
