Beautifully decorated office, ample personal workspace
Perhaps you are skeptical of the other reviews; let the objective data speak for itself:
The company was founded nearly 20 years ago and is not a startup, yet its employee turnover is very high. Nearly half of the employees have been with the company for less than a year (17 people), and there are only 39 full-time employees in total, including the boss.
The highest turnover I personally witnessed: four colleagues left within two months.
(Why do I know how long my colleagues have been employed? Because the employee numbers in the contact list are their dates of hire.)
As for why the turnover rate is so high: Setting aside a few personal factors, the main reason is the boss, the designer Lin.
The boss admits to having a bad temper, but it goes far beyond that! Communication is virtually impossible.
He has extremely strong opinions and prejudices. Once he decides that you have done something wrong, it is difficult to change his mind; sincere explanations are simply treated as excuses. Even more frighteningly, he will continue to pressure you aggressively to give “an explanation he can accept,” leaving you completely trapped.
Because even a small misunderstanding in a conversation could mean that you are told not to come back the next day, everyone is constantly on edge when dealing with the boss.
When one person leaves a negative review, the problem may lie with the employee; however, when so many people tell you the same thing, it is probably not that simple.
P.S. Before I joined, I asked about overtime pay, and the boss personally replied: “We can all apply for overtime pay or compensatory leave.”
In reality: There is absolutely no overtime pay, and it is also difficult to apply for compensatory leave. The fact that no one has reported it does not mean it does not violate labor laws.
