The comments above are all accurate. They are genuinely the reflections of people who have worked at Namchow and experienced it firsthand.
An imperial-court culture: the entire company does its utmost to flatter the “Chen family royals.” No one dares to defy the imperial will, resulting in the company neglecting its actual business and instead serving the royal nobles. Upper management is very good at exploiting labor. There are no typhoon days off, no opportunities for promotion or raises, and besides poor pay, the benefits are also very poor. Employees are even forced to buy the company’s outrageously expensive products. In addition, there is no overtime pay, and employees are forced not to clock in or out to avoid being discovered by the labor bureau... In short, it is truly awful. I deeply regret joining this company.
One more thing: don’t assume that this company has proper systems just because it is publicly listed.... In reality, the inside of the company is a complete mess, with no correct way or logic for doing things (absolutely no SOPs). There are far too few employees (exploiting staff), so one person does the work of several. It is genuinely worse than a small company. Sigh.
