After passing the basic interview, I was given an assignment to assess my abilities.

While completing the assignment, I realized that there was a significant gap in our understanding of structural concepts. I was expected to write everything strictly according to the specified structure, which made me unsure whether the assignment was meant to assess my abilities or whether I was simply doing outsourced programming work for them.
