After I submitted my résumé, I received a message asking whether they could contact me by phone, and I provided a date for phone contact, but I never received any further response by email. When I called to inquire, their attitude felt very flippant. During the call, they repeatedly asked whether I understood the job responsibilities. They asked so frequently that I became suspicious and checked the position I had applied for, only to find that it had been closed and replaced by a different position.

Later that day, I had a face-to-face interview. It was fine that the other party was late, but no one attended to me throughout the process. In the end, they responded to me in writing, saying that they were not ready yet (the response was impolite and even contained a typo). I said okay and waited for several minutes. Then they asked me, “Can you start the interview now????” (Was I the one preventing the interview from starting...?)

Their attitude during the interview was also not very good. They kept laughing—not the polite kind of laugh—which made me feel very uncomfortable.

I don’t know how they view interviewees. They could not even show basic respect toward a candidate. Making a mistake in one part of the process would be understandable, but the entire interview process was a disaster from beginning to end and completely disrespectful. I really should have rejected them immediately.
