Since the last person shared their experience until now, the boss has remained exactly the same! This job is highly recommended for people who love flattering others—the boss absolutely loves it, and it puts him in a good mood. You could go an entire day without working; just listening to him talk nonsense in meetings is enough. He spends all day saying things that are fundamentally unhelpful.
If you need to discuss something with the boss, he will even tell you in the LINE group chat that you need to notify him. You have to constantly worry and keep checking whether he is available, and you cannot contact him directly. Usually, when you remind him, he will say to wait because he is busy and talk about it later. If you are busy and fail to remind him, he will criticize you for not reminding him.
When you come to work, absolutely do not bring an iPhone. During company meetings, they will even take your phone to project from it, meaning you have no privacy whatsoever. At noon, the boss decides based on his mood whether to call you in. Lunch break is from 12:00 to 13:00, but even if a meeting runs until noon, the boss will usually continue it. He does not care about your break or mealtimes. By the way, the boss also has this notion that he works very hard, and that he does not always disturb employees during lunch—that he gives employees time to eat and rest at noon. Did you notice the key point!! The boss gives you your lunch break!!!! Isn’t this the break time required by labor law based on how long you work!
He is completely a stereotypical exploitative boss. Oh, and be careful: if your break is too long, the boss will also think you are stealing his time. The actual work content often differs from what you were interviewed for. Sometimes the boss will even directly turn you into an employee of another department! And you have no choice but to keep doing it until you resign.
The company has employee trips and bonuses for the three major holidays, and the base salary is considered okay compared with the general service industry. Even if you have a master’s degree, salaries in the agricultural sector here are always only around 40,000. The key issue is that you often have to deal with the boss’s emotions.
Previously, the boss would even call employees at night to ask about work matters he wanted to understand. When he saw a question he wanted to understand during your day off, he would LINE you as well. All I can say is that employees who join should not reply to him outside working hours. Many supervisors who have been there for a long time spend meetings praising and flattering the boss, constantly holding useless meetings. Some supervisors’ abilities are even questionable, and many are unwilling to take responsibility for their work. If you want room to develop, absolutely do not join.
If, as an employee, you happen to be in the right department and never come into contact with the boss, congratulations—you may not encounter many of the incidents described above. But if you report directly to the boss, or later become a supervisor, no! Absolutely do not do it. You may want to resign after only a short time. Besides making empty promises, making grand statements, and being self-righteous about thinking that studying business administration means everyone must list issues such as accountability, the boss runs a company with no well-established systems at all.
By the way, one important point about the company’s equipment: the only thing that can be said is that the boss is the type who puts all the money into his own pocket and does not care about employees’ working conditions.
Employees also use Windows XP computers, and all software and equipment are pirated. The boss also dislikes using email because he thinks it is not immediate enough, and requires employees to send files via LINE. His thinking is extremely old-fashioned, and he cannot accept suggestions from others. If you offer the boss an opinion, he will even tell you to shut up. Although it sounds good to say that working hours are 7.5 hours, the boss still watches to see whether you leave on time, secretly remembers it, and brings it up later to mock you.
The boss even has requirements regarding employees’ clothing. When he is in one of his moods, he requires all male employees to wear collared shirts. If female employees wear skirts or dress in a particularly distinctive way, they may be ridiculed during meetings.
In short, whatever advantages this company has are turned into disadvantages through the boss’s influence, so it basically has no advantages. If you want to train yourself to be more patient, come and take on the challenge.
