The receptionist will give you water.
1. The interview questions take a long time to complete—more than an hour—so be mentally prepared.
2. The salary listed on the job bank is the actual minimum. It will not go any higher; whatever salary you write down will be cut to the minimum listed on the job bank. (They say it will be increased by 2,000 after the probationary period.)
3. Be mentally prepared to work overtime, but you will not always be able to claim overtime pay because of cost considerations.
4. During the interview, they will ask in great detail about your family background, such as what positions, roles, and industries your parents and siblings work in. They will also ask irrelevant questions about how household finances are allocated and who does the housework, and this is not in the context of casual conversation.
5. For every job on your résumé, they will ask you to provide extremely detailed information about your salary, bonuses, and where money handled at work went (although I was not applying for an accounting position). When I tactfully explained that I was only responsible for placing orders and not managing money, they responded with an attitude of, “How could you not know?”
6. Overall, the interview experience was extremely unpleasant. The supervisor seemed to be there just to pass the time during the interview. I wasted nearly three hours in total, and I’m really glad it was only three hours and not more.
