Cons

1. During the peak season, customer service staff really do work themselves to death, sometimes until 11 or 12 p.m., possibly for one or two consecutive months. This basically violates the Labor Standards Act, but you can't refuse to work overtime because management will pressure you about it. Also, the starting salary differs from what was listed on the employment website, and although they said it would be adjusted after three months, it wasn't. During the off-season, they will ask you to help in the warehouse—unpacking, moving, packing, and counting goods. During peak season you're exhausted like a dog, and during the off-season they still won't let you rest.

2. It's a family business, so the managers are basically all relatives or people close to the family. You can tell from many small things that they don't treat employees particularly well. Unless you're willing to accept a low salary, obediently endure everything, and remain fiercely loyal to them for several years, you might eventually be considered good enough for a raise.

3. The company has been around for quite a while, but many things are still without proper systems. It's extremely traditional and opaque. They only spend money on advertising like crazy, rather than buying new systems or spending money on hiring people. Everywhere else, they save wherever possible—otherwise, how would the family be able to line their pockets so much? The employees are the ones who suffer.

4. I've seen other people online say that their Skype conversations were accessed and viewed without their knowledge. I'm not sure about that, but the company does have everyone's account passwords. There really are a lot of surveillance cameras in the office; I don't know whether they're afraid employees will slack off or what.

5. The area is an industrial zone, so getting food is inconvenient. There are only convenience stores, or you have to bring your own food. Otherwise, you can only order delivery through an app.

6. Employees have to make their own cleaning schedules and clean the office themselves, which is also quite ridiculous. They kept saying they would hire an outside cleaning service, but even after a very long time, they still hadn't done so. Employees are basically the cleaning ladies. I don't know whether they will eventually hire someone (P.S. There are really very few restrooms, and they smell terrible).

7. The products are simply made-in-China goods, with virtually no quality control, and extremely low costs.

8. There are many more awful things that I really can't list one by one. The only advantage is that the coworkers are all quite nice.
