Applied for an administrative position.

My résumé already clearly stated, "I'm preparing for an exam, so I'm looking for an administrative position that doesn't require overtime."

After calling and explaining the position to me, they only mentioned at the end that there would be frequent overtime, approximately until 8 p.m.

They asked whether I wanted to think about it.

I said that if overtime was very frequent, I would not consider it, and apologized.

They replied, "Exactly," as if I had been insisting on getting this job from the beginning.

I didn't know there would be overtime at first.

You were the one who hadn't read it carefully before calling, and then only mentioned the overtime at the end—seriously?

However, their attitude was still respectful and polite, and they eventually said they would see whether there were other suitable positions.
