The HR lady had a pretty good attitude. The conversation was pleasant overall, and she was quite honest, even though the company couldn't offer me a salary as high as at my previous job.

The head of the business unit is very old-school. At the beginning, he asked me to introduce myself in Chinese first. I gave a brief introduction since everything was already on my CV, and then he asked me to say a bit in English as well. I stumbled a little, so he asked, “Are you sure you want to work in sales?” How laughable—I’ve worked in international sales for almost 10 years. Although this is also a B2B role, he wanted you to act more like B2C sales: very confident and slick-talking. After going around in circles for quite a while, I finally realized that he also expected you to develop domestic business. Ridiculous—they cut the salary by that much and still demand so much. Looking at what others have shared, it seems to be full of people just coasting until retirement. I’d recommend that only people who live nearby consider it; if you live that far away, you wouldn’t go even if you got the offer~
