This company offers editors a monthly salary higher than the industry standard, but I hope everyone will pay attention to a few points. First, based on my experience as an editor several years ago, the monthly salary may seem quite high, but because there was no year-end bonus (I don't know whether there is one now; there wasn't one when I worked there), the actual income was in fact about the same as the annual salary plus year-end bonus elsewhere, while the workload was even heavier. Second, at that time there was no clock-in or clock-out record, so there was no overtime pay at all (I don't know whether there is one now). Third, this company seemed to regard it as perfectly normal for editors not to receive a year-end bonus, because working from home was considered a benefit. However, I hope job seekers will keep their eyes open: if the workload is too heavy, working from home is not actually that great. Under the pressure of meeting deadlines, the benefits of working from home—the time saved by not commuting—are quickly offset.

The boss's calculations are actually quite shrewd. Imagine that every editor and teacher who works from home had to work at the office: air-conditioning costs would increase, the company would have to find a larger office, raising rent costs, and it would also have to spend money installing soundproofing equipment; otherwise, classes would certainly be affected. Having employees work from home saves all that money, and the company can even use it as a reason for not paying year-end bonuses. Friends who aspire to start their own businesses might want to learn from this, hehe!
