The interviewer (not a manager) was easy to talk to.
They ask you in advance to go online at home to look at the company's games, choose one, and write two posts. I thought that was acceptable!
The company is small, with very few employees. Before the interview, they had already emailed me the company's standard application form and the posts. At the interview, I also had to take a logic test. Rather than a logic test, it felt more like they were testing your Chinese translation skills and imagination... It was unbelievably difficult! Am I applying for a master's degree? Of all the logic tests I've taken, this company’s was truly absurdly difficult... After I finished, a young woman came in to interview me. The conversation was fairly pleasant, but she filled the entire résumé with her notes, writing something down after every sentence I said, which felt awful. The process took about 1.5–2 hours. At the end, the interviewer said, “I’ll see how things go and talk to the manager later. If it works out, there will be a second interview.” I was dumbfounded! What? The person who had talked with me for over an hour wasn’t actually the manager?? About 10 minutes later, the woman came back and said the manager was tied up in a meeting that was taking longer than expected, so that was all for today.
Hmm—I think anyone who deliberately chooses ridiculously difficult test questions is over 80% likely to have something wrong with them.
If you’re thinking of applying, think twice. You might just waste your time.
