You can observe the boss's working style up close, as well as the astonishing management style—both top-down and bottom-up—of a family business. If you want to broaden your horizons, it might be worth considering.
The boss hires and uses people based on personal preferences. As long as the boss doesn't like you, no matter how hard you work, it won't make any difference, so don't expect a raise. However, employees the boss likes all get raises~~~
Basically, department heads and unit supervisors are there in name only, because if the boss is unhappy, they will directly scold you, and if the boss thinks a task is yours, they will tell you to do it. Don't even think about communicating with the boss, because they are stuck in the era when Taiwan's economy was taking off. They will bring up the same old incident (a bad one) tens of thousands of times, yet fail to see the real problems right in front of them.
Then there's the biggest problem with this company: it does not respect its employees or offer even the most basic level of trust. If you feel wronged here, leave as soon as your time is up. The boss doesn't care about the turnover rate anyway. The boss only wants employees who will laugh along with them and blindly follow their orders, so if you have your own ideas, this is not a suitable place for you!
