There is a basketball court, though it was closed during the pandemic...
A good place to cultivate both physical fitness and character
The buildings are impressive
Physical therapy services are available, and the therapists are highly skilled
1. Office politics are extremely serious.
2. During the pandemic, club activities were suspended, while other facilities, including the restaurants, continued to operate normally. The logic behind the pandemic-prevention measures was unclear.
3. A lot depends on the department culture. If you end up with senior employees who take credit for others’ work, a boss who takes away from your performance evaluations, or a leader who simply does not care, you will have very little motivation to work.
4. Communication in cross-departmental collaboration often causes problems. There is no standardized SOP, which occasionally leads to features being added at the last minute.
5. It is a “happy enterprise,” but the salary is quite unhappy. Raises are even more depressing, though this also depends on the department; in the right department, you should be able to earn a decent salary.
6. In some departments, veteran employees spend the entire workday browsing Facebook and chatting about gossip, while newcomers work diligently all day, yet the veterans still receive noticeably larger bonuses.
7. During a previous work-from-home drill, the same building was divided between Qisda and BenQ, resulting in Qisda conducting the drill while BenQ did not. The rationale and significance were unclear.
8. It has the standard Taiwanese-company mindset: whether it comes to hiring, compensation, or trust, the people above take the credit while those below take the blame. However, this also depends on the department.
9. The system is rigid and inflexible. Even though, under the new Labor Standards Act system, most publicly listed companies still retain seven days of flexible leave, our company completely eliminated those seven flexible-leave days.
10. Former employees receive notices that the company overpaid their salaries and that they must return the excess to the company. HR’s professionalism still needs improvement.
