Pros

Coworkers around you who are a matter of luck

Cons

Let’s describe this using numbers and project timelines.

First, the number of employees plunged from around 100 to around 70 in just three months, and it is estimated that more people will continue to leave after the Lunar New Year. Think about it—we are currently in the post-pandemic period, spanning December 2020 to January 2021! How unhappy must the employees be to willingly leave without collecting their year-end bonuses? They must have suffered tremendous grievances.

Second, projects fell behind schedule and breached their contracts. To clarify, the project-win rate is relatively high and revenue is also quite substantial. But—and this is the fatal “but”—why can projects be allowed to fall so far behind schedule that they breach their contracts, and not just one project at that? Every disastrous project represents employees who have left. From what I have gathered indirectly, the project contacts lack sufficient professionalism, the BOSS has no sense of risk assessment, and middle managers cannot rein in the wild horse, resulting in everyone aiming in different directions. They are always firefighting and forever caught in the same cycle. The worst affected are newcomers who have just joined.

Third, the company’s systems and mindset are outdated. This is an information technology company specializing in APP and WEB projects, yet its benefits and clock-in procedures remain stuck in those of a traditional contract-manufacturing factory. Employees have to figure out what their superiors want and censor their own thoughts first. When traveling on business, you have to pay expenses upfront yourself, and reimbursements are delayed indefinitely. If you like a smaller “traditional manufacturing factory,” welcome to join as a sweatshop laborer.

Finally, the above is based on my indirect observations, because my position is far from both the center of the storm and the core of the actual money-making operations. The stories inside must be truly bloody. I hope this opening will encourage the actual people involved—and more of them—to come forward and expose what happened.

Thank you~ warriors covered in blood.
