The following applies to Taichung Phase 2:
1. High base salary (guaranteed 14 months’ pay); better than some, but not the best
2. A diverse range of choices, including 7-ELEVEN, Chà Tàng Huì, Starbucks, and restaurants; there are also occasional special sales
3. Employee lounge
4. High level of autonomy and active participation in activities
1. The industry has limited prospects
2. It depends heavily on the department; the front-end departments are relatively more competitive
3. Quarterly bonuses or profit sharing are not very stable; sometimes they simply are not paid at all (the quarterly bonus portion)
4. Endless meetings
5. High new-hire attrition rate. Taking my department as an example, new hires almost never stay for more than three months, regardless of whether they have prior work experience. The workload remains the same, but the number of employees keeps decreasing
Reflections after five years of work:
It is a company with an average salary level in Taichung, but I do not think it is much like a technology company; it is more like a traditional manufacturing company with automation.
If you are not afraid of hard work, you can give it a try.
