I took on an outsourced app development project from their company. At first, they said they had just formed an app team and hoped that we could upload code to Git as we worked. However, after the first item was completed, they said they wanted to change the outsourcing scope. The requirements were reduced to two-thirds, while they left you with the relatively difficult pages, but cut the payment directly to one-third.
Later, we couldn’t reach an agreement and I declined the project. Some time afterward, I checked Git again and found that the first requirement we had completed had been used directly. I asked them to delete it several times. Each time, they agreed to delete it from the cloud, but when I checked again later, I found that the code had been uploaded to the cloud once more. After going back and forth three or four times, I was exhausted.
The key point is that they provided no deposit and did not pay for that code. I hope everyone will think twice, whether taking a job or accepting outsourced work.
P.S. Communication with the party requesting the work was quite difficult... Whenever I had a question and wanted to ask their RD or PM, it often took two or three days for someone to respond to a single question.
