A complete militarized workplace career experience, featuring a boss who frequently speaks in threatening tones and a volatile accountant. Newcomers are very welcome to take on the challenge.
If you see these reviews before your interview, congratulations!!
I sincerely recommend that you do not challenge your own abilities.

Below, the company’s top decision-maker, the CEO, will be referred to by the same shorthand: “the boss.”
When the boss is in a good mood, everyone gets along peacefully. When he is in a bad mood, he sends group messages containing all kinds of verbal threats and bullying, completely treating employees as less than human. If Voldemort existed in this world, he would probably be like this.
1. Work is highly militarized. Starting at 9:00 a.m., you must be seated in front of your computer on time (with the computer already turned on and the screen displayed), preparing to enter work mode. Private mobile phones may not be used during working hours; even sneaking a glance at one will make you feel the boss’s intense gaze.
Everyone works in a state of 100% tension. It is not until the noon lunch break that there is even a little human voice, and only then is there the slightest hint of warmth among colleagues. However, the employee on duty that day does not have anything resembling a break and must always be ready to answer the phone.
At 1:25 p.m., everyone must get up, sit in front of their computers, turn on their screens, and prepare for work. At 1:30 p.m., work begins immediately. Every day, the work style is like that of robots, while everyone’s mental well-being is relentlessly worn down.
2. The boss is extremely emotional and often sends group announcements containing threatening language and verbal bullying. If someone submits a complaint by private message, the boss will post the message directly and say, “If you have a problem, tell me directly and target me. Don’t make little moves behind the scenes. If you want to play, let’s play big—I’m better at playing than you are...” and so on.
This makes colleagues suspicious of one another and causes them to live in fear during working hours.
He is unable to humbly accept any negative comments and requires employees to leave positive reviews together on Google, washing the company’s image with five-star reviews. Some of the reviews on Google were written by employees.
He frequently sends group announcements such as: “Attention, everyone: The economy is poor this year. I hope everyone can do their work to the best of their ability. Don’t sit around with nothing to do, slowly dragging out your work, chatting, or looking at your phone. If this situation is discovered again, we will begin implementing [unpaid leave] on a rotating basis.”
Or: “X-month performance was unsatisfactory, and total performance failed to reach XXX million. If next month’s performance does not reach XXX million, starting in X month we will begin mandatory rotating special leave. One person will take special leave in rotation every day; anyone without special leave will take one day of unpaid leave.”
Sometimes, if you are in too much of a hurry before or after work and fail to notice that the punch card entries overlap, and do not promptly ask the boss or supervisor to sign and certify that you came to work that day, it will be treated as an absence and calculated as an unauthorized absence. P.S. If surveillance footage must be reviewed to prove your attendance, please donate NT$200 to the company’s public fund.
Apparently, proving that you actually came to work that day requires paying NT$200 to have the surveillance footage reviewed.
3. The boss often tacitly permits the accountant’s way of doing things. The boss often says, “Don’t make things difficult for the accountant,” “Make things easier for the accountant,” and “As long as it’s convenient for the accountant.”
If you encounter something unreasonable and consult the accountant, the replies are always, “The boss said so,” “The boss said no,” or “I asked the boss.” Ten sentences cannot get away from mentioning the boss.
The accountant uses the boss’s title to counter every question you raise, making you give up on asking further questions.
Moreover, everything must be quoted according to the accountant’s logic (even when there are no loss-related costs). If your quotation differs from the accountant’s calculation method, or the accountant cannot calculate it or does not understand it, then you are the one who is wrong, and you have to silently swallow the consequences of the mistake yourself.
The accountant is volatile and has very low emotional intelligence. If she is busy with trivial matters and the same vendor calls several times to inquire about something, the accountant will directly reply, “If you keep calling like this, I won’t do business with you anymore.”
Apparently, whether to do business with a vendor is not decided by the boss and the boss’s wife, but by the accountant. All of this is so baffling that it makes you wonder: Who is the boss, and who is the boss’s wife??
4. Overtime pay is all fake; the only thing that is real is whether the boss is in a good or bad mood.
The boss will ask a team leader to announce that there will be a brainstorming meeting after work. The meeting content is usually about investigating mistakes, work situations, and so on.
After attending once or twice, the boss simply stops coming. By the time the meeting ends, it is already 9:00 p.m. Everyone clocks out at 9:00, yet there is no overtime pay at all. The boss makes no statement either, as though it were only natural for us to stay behind for a meeting.
If you want to ask the boss for this overtime pay, it may be faster to find another company.
All of the above points are based on my personal subjective experience and are shared here. If, after reading this understated account, you still want to experience a militarized workplace career and add an unforgettable color to your life, then you are welcome to submit your résumé.
Best of luck.
