Interviewed for a frontend engineer position.

First, I had to fill out an extremely lengthy written form that was almost like a background investigation.

I also had to provide the name and phone number of someone I know, as well as their company, so they could call and ask about me.

The coding test consisted of two questions.

The first was to create a registration page using Bootstrap with responsive design. It had to include fields for an account, password, password confirmation, and email address, and JavaScript had to be used.

The second tested Vue.js.

During the interview, HR was very disrespectful. I said that I had taught myself frontend development and had worked for several years, but HR still belittled me and asked why I had not gone to the Institute for Information Industry or Kojen to study.

There was no discussion of benefits at all.

They also asked whether I minded the gambling industry, saying that Taichung has many gambling-related businesses and that I could consider working in that industry.

I felt like I was treated as if I were an idiot during the interview.
