Compared with a typical cable TV station, the workload is relatively light. Fewer people are needed for holiday shifts, and there are no night-shift positions, so it is rare for a news job to allow you to have weekends off.
There are too many...
The work environment alone is dirty and disorganized, with unpleasant odors in the pantry and lots of cockroaches. The office space is small, and even employees within the same group are not allowed to use restrooms on other floors.
There are no holiday bonuses, and the year-end bonus is very stingy. The supervisor has turned the place into a one-person dictatorship; even if you raise an opinion, it is pointless. My advice to newcomers is to stay for a while and then move to another job.
