There really are no advantages.

The boss is involved in a great many lawsuits.

1. The final payment for a boat was not paid, but the boat was secretly taken away. The boatyard wants to sue, while the boss keeps saying that the boat has defects. Even all the boatbuilding technicians in Taiwan’s industry refuse to appraise it for him; they all believe the company should pay the balance and close the case. Yet the boss refuses. A case from 2016 is still being dragged out to this day.

2. The company sold products to the Ministry of National Defense under a contract stating they were made in Taiwan, but the products were discovered to be made in mainland China. The boss has now been convicted and sentenced to more than a year in prison, and is required to pay a fine of nearly NT$300,000 per month in 12 installments.

3. Dadaocheng Wharf case: In 2021, another company clearly won the bid, yet the boss kept claiming that the government agency’s bidding process was flawed. He hired lawyers to file administrative and civil lawsuits. Although building an operation from nothing is not easy, it still seems very difficult to win anything. Now he can only wait for the next winning bidder or for the government to drive him out.

4. He even wants to sue people at government agencies. Although having the water and electricity cut off after the contract ends is completely normal, he insists on portraying it as the company not asking Taiwan Power Company and Taiwan Water Corporation to cut off the water and electricity, and asks why government agencies are allowed to obstruct business operations.

5. Netizens posted about the actual situation on an online whistleblowing forum and were also sued for criminal defamation.

6. Labor and health insurance are reported at NT$22,000, and a labor dispute with employees has still not been resolved. It has remained unresolved since 2018.

The boss makes enemies everywhere—with the government, suppliers, and employees.

With a company like this, no matter how capable someone is, they will not stay. This has nothing to do with ability anymore. The work is exhausting and frantic, yet the pay is not high, so the cost-performance ratio is terrible.

Employees at the company are in dire straits every day. There is absolutely no room to catch their breath at work, and turnover is extremely high.
