Pros

During the interview, you are given a table outlining the business regulations. The interviewer will get a general understanding of your previous work experience, but will not look into it very deeply. It feels like they hire you as long as they find you agreeable and think you communicate reasonably well. There is a base salary, with no deductions.

Cons

The detailed business regulations provided during the interview are not transparent. You often have to ask about things only after encountering them, including the attendance system and how performance-based payments are issued. These are things you should not have to ask about to find out.

The atmosphere at the Taipei company is dull, and factionalism is severe. As long as you please the people who need to be pleased, you will not have too many problems. But if you do not meet their expectations, they will make things very difficult for you. Employees are treated as disposable. New hires are not given time to grow. The probation period is two months, with three days of training. After training, you accompany a senior salesperson for two weeks; after that, you are entirely on your own for client development and relationship maintenance. After about a month, if they see that you have no chance of signing a contract, they will let you go at the end of the month. The company calculates the termination costs carefully and uses the lowest-cost dismissal process. Excluding the half month spent on training, you really only have one month to find interested clients. In any case, a bunch of people who do not know what they are getting into will keep coming in on their own.

Someone resigns every week. Everyone who has left has gone on to develop well in their careers. This is a company that cannot retain talent, and there are too many inside stories. Most of the positive reviews online are basically from branches in central and southern Taiwan with much better atmospheres. Think twice before joining.
