The old-timers have it great: there’s often nothing to do, they work regular hours, and the company is a place for capable veterans who don’t seek high pay and just want an easy life.
Newcomers should not apply. This company has no planning, and the managers and engineers in the software department are all inexperienced at leading people; they only recently completed their mandatory alternative military service after graduating from R&D roles.
Newcomers are left to fend for themselves. There is no training or planning whatsoever. The associate general manager himself wants to leave, and he also cannot guide the deputy managers or the people below them on how to manage others. The general manager’s surname is Lai, and whether he wants you to stay or leave depends entirely on his mood; the people below bear all the responsibility. Although the company clearly intended to hire someone experienced, it deliberately hired a rookie as a disposable employee—once they are used, they are discarded. Newcomers who want to develop and improve should not come to this company to be mistreated. In addition, the software department was established only two years ago and has no systems in place; all the senior employees have left. There are also not many projects under development, so it does not feel like a profitable department, and it is difficult to say whether it will remain in operation.
