I was reprimanded for sitting with my knees bent and my feet on the chair. Then, because I explained that sitting that way would not affect my work efficiency, I was deemed to have a poor attitude and fired on the spot. The boss was extremely emotional and would launch into a tirade as soon as they arrived at the office. The boss would leave their dog at the office for colleagues to look after; it would urinate everywhere, and no one dared say anything. Employee turnover was extremely high. When I joined, the longest-serving colleague had been there for one year; after that colleague resigned a week later, the most senior person left was a colleague who had been there for only three weeks. The boss would occasionally share with everyone what high-end parties they had attended and what luxury jewelry they had bought, and receive praise from colleagues. Even though there were already very few employees, people would still gather together to badmouth other colleagues.
Those who welcome sitting with perfect posture, have a high tolerance for servility, enjoy flattering others, and want to cultivate their EQ are welcome to take on the challenge.
