Supervisor: The company is moving to Sanchong. It’s still being renovated—would that be okay?

(Three lines * three lines) They only mentioned at the very end of the interview that the company was moving. At the time, the job posting on the employment website didn’t say so either (it is now clearly marked), and they didn’t mention it when arranging the interview. They didn’t mention it at the beginning of the interview after I arrived at the company, either. It was only when the interview was about to end and I asked when I could start that they said the company was moving to Sanchong. How could they keep this hidden for so long??!!

The employees at the company all seem fairly young. Some wear shorts, hats, and slippers to work. After the interview, I borrowed their restroom and discovered that the smell was really unbearable. The restroom is probably about five meters from the entrance to the interior, but the smell (urine odor) became increasingly strong, along with the disinfectant smell. Not even a mask could block it. The cleaning tools in the restroom were haphazardly leaning against things and left around. The cobwebs accumulated above the stall doors, illuminated by the lights, were not aesthetically pleasing—they were disgusting! The toilet paper discarded by everyone beside the toilets had overflowed from the full trash can and continued piling up higher. This isn’t a competition!! The toilet paper that couldn’t stay in the bin rolled onto the floor and scattered outside the stall doors. What kind of company can be this unconcerned about environmental cleanliness?

There was a large trash can and a pantry right outside the restroom. Perhaps it was after lunch, but cockroaches were crawling around inside the uncovered large trash can, searching for food among the bowls and cups.

Looking at this company through the details:

1. The restroom toilet paper was so thin that people using the restroom (at least I did) had to pull out many, many sheets at once. Naturally, the trash can couldn’t handle that much waste and became so full that it spilled outside.

2. In the restroom stalls, apart from the toilet and the area where you stand, the rest of the floor was covered with balls of lint and hair. The toilet had yellowed to the point of being a terrifying sight that made me want to wear an eye mask.

3. During the five-meter walk from the entrance to the restroom, you could see a dust-covered shoe cabinet. Of course, having a shoe cabinet also meant you could smell…

4. The restroom odor…

These may seem like small details, but they reveal what the company culture is like.
