The first interview was with the HR manager. Because the internal résumé form was missing salary information, they spent 10 minutes rambling about it. By the time they finished, I just wanted to end the interview and leave.

The second interview was with an assistant vice president. They smelled strongly of cigarettes, but were a nice person.

I didn’t make it to the chairman; the result was simply a silent rejection.
