Pineapple cakes—delicious.
Actually, I wouldn’t really call it a drawback, would I?
I interviewed for an English teacher position, and I also have around four or five years of experience (having studied abroad for more than ten years).
However, they seemed rather hesitant about the salary.
Teachers have to go to the branches to teach students, and the branches are in different areas,
which essentially means doing sales work.
You also have to negotiate schedules with the store managers, so interpersonal skills are another important part of the job.
On top of that, you have to translate all the company’s documents
and write lesson plans. Basically, you’re working as both a teacher and a translator.
They offered 50,000 at the time, but kept asking why.
Because I think I’m worth it—what do you think?
The previous person was a foreign teacher, so maybe their salary was higher than what I asked for?
But they left too, haha.
