Pros

There are cats.

Cons

They cut shifts without warning. They do not plan staffing needs in advance; after hiring too many people, they pick a few and cut their shifts. Earlier, they kept asking whether we could take more shifts and work full shifts, but in the end they still cut our shifts. Several people were let go after working only two or three days.

There is a part-time auntie there who treats herself like a full-time employee. I heard she may be somewhat senior, so she often orders other people around and makes them carry things here and there for her. She never carries anything herself and does not even help out. Several times, she even expected the other male part-time workers whom she had been ordering around to take the initiative and help her. I honestly feel that men would have a really miserable time working here (because every bag of rice weighs at least 20–30 kilograms). (As an aside: Although some of the other female part-time workers help carry things too, there are also some who do not help. For example, when another male worker is carrying something nearby, they just stand there and heckle him, saying, “Ohhh! He can actually lift that~”)

Besides bossing(ㄕˇ) people around(ㄏㄨㄢˋ), the senior part-time worker also often bad-mouths other people. She keeps saying that she and some other person cannot stand each other, and I do not know what she is so hung up on. Before work, she even complains, “I really hope she is working at the other store today. It would be best if she didn’t come here, otherwise I really can’t stand her~” Honestly, it was only a few days of work—what is the point of bad-mouthing people like that? Also, if you come to work here, you had better pray that you are handy, or you will be criticized too. This senior part-time worker will even laugh at you and say, “You should just go back to doing XXX~” (I previously heard her say that some part-time worker should go back to serving in the military and pulling weeds.)

I do not know whether they will be hiring again later. If you see a job posting, please think twice.
