The interviewer was incredibly arrogant—I have no idea what they were so cocky about—and kept making things difficult. I would understand being criticized for only having Japanese N2, but a woman with N1 interviewed with me and was still taunted: “Your certificate is from two years ago. Are you still capable now?” Yet they didn’t directly test her Japanese ability either. I had even prepared for a spoken Japanese interview, but it wasn’t used; they just kept making snide remarks for no apparent reason. They also repeatedly said the job was very difficult and that they were looking for exceptionally talented people (but the salary offered was only 25,000–28,000? What a joke.) Then, a few months later, I checked the earth music EC website. Seriously, the product photos for one of the dresses looked like they had been taken for trash. I even looked at the Japanese version of the earth music website: the product photos of the same dress looked like a luxury-brand item on the Japanese site, while the Taiwan version had the cheap, street-stall-trash feel. So tell me, how exceptionally talented are the people working on this EC site?
