Haven’t experienced any yet

I didn’t actively apply for this position, but I received an interview invitation email. The email said they had tried to contact me but couldn’t reach me. I checked all my contact methods and found no notification from them, so I replied to the invitation asking about available interview times:

They emailed me on 9/22, and I asked on 9/23 whether I could interview on 9/25. I didn’t receive a reply at all, even by 9/25. Before then, I kept preparing and checking my email in case the interview was going to happen.

They finally dragged things out until 10/5 to call me, asking about my understanding of the position and my work. I was completely dumbfounded. They proactively invited me to interview without even looking at my work or replying to my email, and instead asked me where my work was. What’s strange is that the caller even identified himself as being in sales. I have to wonder: Is the HR department at this 90-person company just collecting a salary without doing anything? Or do they not have HR at all? :)

At the end of the call, I also asked why they hadn’t replied at the time. The other person simply said, “I’m replying to you now.”

No kidding—I obviously know you’re replying to me now. But after sending someone an interview invitation, you then go nearly two weeks without any word. That proves your recruiting process is unbelievably terrible: you made the interviewee wait and prepare for nothing, without even giving an explanation. Let’s be clear: you were the ones who actively approached me about an interview. Your company must be the only one that doesn’t even know how to use the 104 reply system anymore, huh? LOL
