The company looked extremely shabby and strange. The shabby part was that it was run-down and didn’t look like a tech company at all; the strange part was that I couldn’t see a single engineer—everyone there was female and had a demeanor that seemed completely unlike people who work at a tech company. I’ve interviewed with dozens of companies, including major tech firms, and I’ve never seen anything this strange... Takeaway: It’s better not to apply to obscure companies and waste your time.
