Cons

The boss cares a lot about appearances and outfits, and often suddenly adds a bunch of rules (unreasonable ones). They deduct money from employees for everything, the store reviews are also fabricated, and they copy everything from competing brands. The unconditional 30-day exchange policy for products is also unreasonable. Don’t they think it’s really dirty to allow intimate items like earrings to be exchanged? The returned items are just wiped with alcohol anyway. I think the biggest problem is the junior managers around the boss. The boss is rather easily influenced and not good at expressing themselves, so people around them can often sway them into making the wrong decisions! Many veteran employees who were there from the store’s opening and were capable left after resigning because they couldn’t get promoted to management positions. Instead, employees at the frontline level who lack communication skills and aren’t good at handling matters are promoted directly to supervisors? Once they can’t get along with store staff, they use termination as a solution! During the pandemic, they kept saying we would work hard and get through it together, but when sales weren’t as good as the boss expected, they kept using the numbers to pressure employees and accuse them of not working. I don’t know how many surveillance cameras have been installed in the store—they are there to monitor employees, not customers. The bonus system is extremely opaque. There is an “Other” item on the salary statement, and no one knows what money it refers to. HR only says they don’t know and that it’s a figure provided by the boss. This is basically a harem expense, with everyone receiving a different amount. The company has no SOPs at all. When you give them suggestions or ways to save effort, they are so stubborn that they refuse to listen :) I advise anyone considering joining this company to think twice. They won’t recognize how hard you work, the salary is not proportional to the work you do, and there are still many rigid, inflexible “managers” in the company.
