1. The commute takes more than 50 minutes. The company is located in an industrial area, which is remote, and the main road can be somewhat dangerous when traffic is heavy.
2. Before the actual interview, there is a phone interview (about 20 minutes, during which they will ask about your personality and strengths and weaknesses; it is best to provide three examples). Only after HR feels that things are satisfactory will they schedule a date and time for an in-person interview. During the interview, they repeatedly ask whether you can accept working overtime (which gives the impression that this is a job involving frequent overtime). After you agree to attend the interview, HR may even ask again whether you are really coming, because everyone declines. At this point, you should be able to understand why previous candidates refused this company—the experienced can spot the warning signs immediately!
3. HR will send you two files in advance. One is the company application form (which asks about your three strengths/weaknesses, your reasons for joining Lien Hong, your expectations for future work, your future learning and development plans, and your earliest available start date), and the other is a DISC assessment. Pay particular attention to whether HR forgets to email you because they are busy. If you find that the company has read your message but does not reply (then perhaps fate is telling you not to go).
4. The interview is conducted by a Chinese supervisor (presumably the HR supervisor), who bombards you with sharp questions to assess you and probe for information about your previous company (it is recommended that you be selective about what you disclose and not let yourself be led around by the nose). The interview also ends extremely quickly, just as previous commenters described, making you seriously suspect that they were not actually hiring.
5. They do not explain any benefits related to the company during the interview. After a series of aggressive questions, they hastily signal for you to leave. Only before you depart do they say that, if you pass this round, they will schedule the next interview; if they do not inform you within seven days, you did not pass, and they will not notify you separately. If they had explained from the beginning over the phone that there would be so many interview rounds (with each round scheduled on a different day), that you would have to wait seven days regardless of whether you were accepted, and that they would not directly notify you if you were unsuccessful, it would be best to simply give up on the interview! Do not waste your time here and squander your life.
