I previously attended the Yourator job fair. Although many startups exhibited at the event that day, Star To Asia left the deepest impression because they were the only company that actively asked attendees to fill out their information and arranged quick interviews on the spot. At the time, I even wondered whether the company was really that short-staffed.
After taking part in the quick interview at the event, I received a notification for a formal second interview the very next day. On the afternoon of the second interview, I received the official offer email. The entire interview and hiring process took only 11 days—extremely efficient! It felt like a quick decision between success and failure, unlike typical companies that beat around the bush and say, “We’ll let you know if there’s any news.”
The job requirements stated that Japanese proficiency was needed, but I am simply someone who enjoys watching Japanese dramas and do not really speak Japanese. I can only say that I was fortunate to be hired into the Overseas Department, where the need for Japanese proficiency was relatively low.
