You need to choose the department and supervisor carefully. I currently work in the software department, but my supervisor doesn't even know how to use Git, and their understanding of software development completely turned my worldview upside down... all they have is talk. Unfortunately, I switched to this job and can't learn anything. Once the pandemic is over, I’ll have to start looking for a job.
