At the time, I decided to come and see for myself without paying attention to the reviews on GoodJob.
I found that the boss has a fairly good temper and pays considerable attention to the Labor Standards Act.
I never encountered any of the Labor Standards Act violations mentioned in the reviews I read online.
During my employment, I rarely had to work overtime. If you manage your time well, you generally will not need to work overtime.
Occasional overtime happened when monthly meetings ran a little late, but I recall that they rarely lasted past 7 p.m.
Personally, I found this acceptable.
Whenever I left work on time and said goodbye to the boss, the boss would not give me a dirty look like the owners or supervisors of typical small companies might.
It felt quite free—as long as you got your work done, that was enough.
The boss also values every employee's ideas. As long as you can give a reason that persuades the boss, the boss is generally very willing to adopt it.
People with a lot of ideas and ability would probably feel that they can make good use of their talents at this company.
My work was related to performance results. In my experience, the bonuses offered by the boss were fairly OK.
For Taichung, including the bonus, I felt the salary was pretty good—but of course, you have to be capable of achieving the targets.
Occasionally, when someone takes leave, you need to support them by handling their urgent work for the day.
However, I think this is probably similar at most small companies.
People who cannot accept this may find it harder to cope.
