I previously worked as an outsourced contractor, calling users to ask whether they wanted to upgrade their broadband internet service and explaining the pricing plans. The pay-per-task system was very straightforward, with no ambiguity. I also made calls in an air-conditioned office, so it was pretty good.
Being an outsourced contractor was simply about doing the work, with hardly any benefits—not even a chance to order drinks. Customers often cursed at me or hung up, but I know that had nothing to do with Chunghwa Telecom; people generally have no patience for telemarketing calls and assume they are scams.
