The interviewer was extremely disrespectful. After asking me to come for an interview and fill out the information, she made me wait there while she searched through her phone for my interview materials. After explaining what she expected from applicants, she realized that my background did not match her expectations (even though the website clearly said they were looking for someone interested in aviation-related topics) and said on the spot, “We would still have to train you before you could write any reviews.” Are you kidding me? It was only at the very end that she said they actually needed a marketing person, even though the interview invitation was for an editorial interviewer position... She wasted the interviewee’s time and left me with only: “I’ll think again about why I contacted you and what I want you to do.” Absolutely unbelievable.

After looking at my résumé, she even humiliated me on the spot: “Why did you leave your previous job directly? Why didn’t you find another job before leaving? Is it really that easy to find a job now?”

At the time, I really wanted to retort: Everyone has their own reasons for moving directly from one job to another or for being unemployed and looking for work. Do I really need to explain them to you? But then I thought that with a supervisor this disrespectful, I would not want to work there anyway, so I treated it as a learning experience.

The company is small, and its location is inconvenient and very remote. No wonder they are recruiting year-round on 104; it is hardly surprising. I urge anyone planning to interview there to think twice!
