All my colleagues are very nice. I was lucky enough to join a department with low turnover, and overtime is not required. This is the first time I’ve encountered coworkers who keep telling me, “Take your time, there’s no need to rush,” and who help whenever I have questions.
In my previous jobs, I was expected to get up to speed quickly, but this department is not like that.
I’ve currently been working here for a little over half a month and have already gotten the hang of part of the job. I still work regular hours and leave on time (momo offers the benefit of flexible start and end times within a 30-minute range).
The supervisor is very nice. momo has a group-buying event every Friday, and off-season products are very affordable and good quality.
There is a subsidy for employee trips. This year, employees who have worked for nine months can apply for NT$6,000. After passing the three-month probationary period, there is a Dragon Boat Festival bonus of a little over NT$3,000; employees who have worked for one month also receive a little over NT$1,000.
I heard that this year’s year-end bonus is 3.7 months’ salary.
My department has flexible hours. If I want to have lunch, I just let them know and then go out for an hour. There is no requirement to eat lunch at exactly 12:00. I often wait until I’m hungry before eating, which is usually around two or three in the afternoon.
The company computers cannot connect to the external network, but we can use our phones.
It’s a large company, so many things have to go through formal procedures. Since we don’t want to create extra trouble, we generally prepare our own office software and tools.
At work, we sometimes encounter difficult-to-deal-with producers. Some producers are very high-and-mighty and have bad tempers, so you need to be able to put up with them.
