It's okay to be late because the boss doesn't know what punctuality means either. It's not very busy, so there's plenty of time to contemplate life. Being ostracized lets you experience what it feels like to be a middle school student again.
Conclusion: Don't waste your life at a company that will never get off the ground.
Employee insurance: After two months of employment, they still had not helped arrange labor and health insurance, yet deducted part of the salary for it.
Salary and benefits: There is a three-month probationary period with a salary of 24,000 per month! There is no overtime pay or holiday bonuses. Whether you get holidays off when they fall on public holidays and whether you receive a year-end bonus depend on the boss's mood. Salaries are often paid late, without any explanation. Wages are paid in cash so the company won't leave an audit trail.
Regarding leave:
When employees traveled for work on holidays and requested compensatory leave, management brainwashed the other employees and caused workplace bullying. It was common for management to “wake up” only after work hours had begun and then call employees who were preparing to leave work into overtime meetings.
Regarding policies: They say it's fine verbally but secretly resent people who leave work on time. They like to ostracize people (they say to your face that they don't dislike someone, but speak very harshly about them behind their back). The company has no policies whatsoever; everything depends on the boss's mood. They have said they would establish a bonus system 800 times, but it is still just empty talk.
The boss is very good at talking like a direct-sales salesperson. He is constantly selling grand promises!
He has many wealthy friends and can bring in some good, challenging projects. He gets excited when a project comes in, but refuses to delegate anything. When it is actually time to execute, he starts slacking off—after all, the employees can clean up the mess.
Clients often call frantically trying to reach someone, while the boss disappears off the face of the earth. When contacted, he says he is conceptualizing a work and needs to go into seclusion for a day, or that he is abroad. He completely ignores the company's and clients' situations, dumping everything on the employees. In the end, the work is not completed on schedule either; after employees have left work, he calls to emotionally blackmail them into staying up all night to finish all the script content.
He dreams of being a director, but never knows what he is filming, so he cannot retain clients. Yet he expects employees to understand and excuse all his mistakes. He is not afraid of employees making mistakes; instead, he seems to enjoy lecturing them after they make mistakes, which gives him the feeling of being a good boss.
He likes hiring people for assistant positions because they are cheap and he can use his sales talk to lure inexperienced newcomers in. But in reality, there is no senior staff to teach you! You have to learn everything on your own. If you flatter him (and act entirely according to his wishes), you may survive a little longer; those who retain their own opinions are immediately ignored and ostracized.
Every month, he always picks one of the five employees he dislikes the most and ostracizes them (anything can annoy him).
But don't worry—everyone will definitely, absolutely, get a turn!!! (The only employee who is never targeted is the woman who is secretly having what he thinks is an unknown-to-everyone romantic relationship with him.)
He also likes to sow discord among coworkers. (He gets upset when he sees everyone getting along too well.) Once, in the name of work responsibilities, he demanded that employees provide information about the other person's work situation, then privately manipulated the relationship between the two sides.
Since the company was founded, almost none of the employees have stayed for more than a year; sometimes an entire group resigns together.
Final advice:
Be careful what you say at all times. Be careful—👂s can hear through walls.
