I don’t know which colleague at your company is responsible for making interview calls. When they called, they didn’t introduce the company first or arrange an interview time; they immediately asked why I left my previous job, how much I earned there (and then criticized it for being too low), and what my highest level of education was (it’s all on the résumé—didn’t you read it?). Was this a background investigation? Only after talking to their heart’s content did they mention the job responsibilities. If you don’t show people any respect from the start, who would want to work there?
I’m specifically leaving this comment so everyone can see how bizarre this company is and avoid wasting their time.
