1. The environment is so harsh that you can develop a sense of camaraderie with your colleagues.
2. You’ll train your EQ, resilience, and patience when dealing with the owners’ scolding.
1. Staffing shortages have persisted for a long time, and overtime support is the norm.
2. During the interview, the owner personally said there would be six bonus payments. In reality, even the year-end bonus is dismissed with one or two thousand dollars, and there are not even spring banquets or year-end parties.
3. During busy periods, employees are required to cooperate with overtime (eight hours exchanged for 1,000 dollars, which averages out to only 125 per hour—cheaper than cheap labor), and to support other departments. During the off-season, employees are required to use up all their annual leave. Employees’ rights are not respected at all—no, employees fundamentally have no rights to speak of!
4. The owners do not understand hotel management but interfere deeply anyway, making things even more chaotic on site.
5. The owners deny things they have said or documents they have signed whenever they please. They have no credibility.
6. It is a family business, but the family cannot even reach a consensus among themselves. No matter what employees do, it is wrong.
7. The entire building is plagued with problems—beautiful on the outside but rotten within. The nanobubble machine breaks down all day, the bathrooms flood, the rooms smell of biogas, and every kind of problem you can and cannot imagine will happen at this hotel.
8. The owners do not respect professionalism or employees at all. They are typical nouveau riche who look down on others!
9. Toward the end, whenever I saw people coming for interviews, I felt sorry for them in advance.
10. If you want to see how absurd a hotel can be, welcome to Village International Hot Spring Hotel.
There are many more drawbacks, but I have only one thing to say:
There are no systems, not enough staff, no good working environment, no benefits, and no future.
Unless you want to let hardship temper your character and test whether your abilities are enough to shoulder a great responsibility, you really, really, really should not come here!
