The company is gradually going downhill. Three colleagues have already been laid off, and all of them were notified just over ten minutes before the end of their workday that they would only work until that day. They were not given any time to pack up their belongings or do any handover at all. It was a termination process that treated them like criminals. There was a camera set up in the meeting room, and HR would take out a stack of documents and tell you, “Sorry, today is your last day.” The company’s Plant Manager Yeh would sit beside you with an expression that was impossible to interpret (watching a show? I don’t know what kind of attitude this really reflects). The company offers no benefits whatsoever. It only tells us that we must unite as one and make money for the company. Then why don’t those highly paid managers think about how those of us earning these salaries at the bottom are supposed to make a living? Think about it carefully: why is the company’s turnover rate so high?
