Pros

After seriously thinking it over, I really couldn't find a single positive point about the entire interview...

I even thought the dentist's office in Zhubei looked very upscale, but it didn't even have toilet paper in the bathroom...

----The above was the job description for the interview----------separator-------------

1. Disrespect for interviewees: Extremely flippant attitude, and being 30 minutes to 1 hour late (the reason for the two different times is explained below)

2. Extremely unprofessional recruitment: They invited me to interview for one position, only to have the supervisor reject me during the interview, saying I was unsuitable for it!

3. Very problematic time management: One interview was scheduled for 3:00 p.m., while two were scheduled for 4:00 p.m. (not a group interview)

→ The interview was scheduled for 3:00 p.m. that day. I arrived at 2:45, filled out the forms first, and submitted them at 3:00. I waited and waited until 3:27, when Cindy—the person who had been at the reception desk the entire time (probably the administrative employee who originally notified me about the interview (?))—finally took me upstairs for the interview...

Cindy: Please introduce yourself in one minute.

After briefly describing my previous jobs, Cindy asked about the reason I left my first job. I began explaining the duties and reason for leaving in detail. After a while, she started multitasking by messaging on LINE, occasionally responding with a few “uh-huhs.” I thought I should let her handle her official business first, so I stopped. She noticed and said: It’s okay, please continue.

She listened to my explanation half-heartedly for one minute like this... Then she suddenly said: The supervisor says she wants to listen too. Can you wait until she arrives and tell her together? That way, you won’t have to say it twice.

Of course, all I could say was: Uh-huh, okay, no problem!

And so, starting at 3:32, I waited until 4:17, when the senior supervisor (a woman wearing a loose earth-toned cotton top and wide-leg pants) finally... arrived...

During the wait, two other interviewees also arrived. I heard that one of them was scheduled for 4:00...

Next, the senior supervisor sat to one side while Cindy continued interviewing me: So, please continue explaining this job.

After I had said two sentences, the senior supervisor said: XX Company? That was already three years ago! Why are you talking about that?

I immediately responded: Yes, that's right, so I'll just explain my most recent administrative work...

Finally, Cindy asked why I had stated my expected salary and whether I knew what the job involved.

Me: I saw it on 104. Could you please explain the job duties in a little more detail?

When Cindy explained that the supervisor's secretary was essentially a staff position and needed to be very familiar with every job function at the clinic......

The senior supervisor interrupted: She's not suitable for this position! I don't understand why she applied for this job. (with an extremely disdainful attitude)

This senior supervisor directly complained about me to her subordinate right in front of me?

The senior supervisor added: She seems more suitable for administration. Just tell her about the administrative position!

Cindy meekly replied: Uh-huh, okay. So, our administrative work mainly involves... (judging by her behavior, she was clearly very afraid of the supervisor)

I was completely dumbfounded by all of this... I turned directly toward the senior supervisor on my left,

looked her straight in the eye, and said: The job description I saw on 104 consisted entirely of duties I've done before, so that's why I came for the interview. If this is an administrative reception position, then I'm no longer interested. Thank you.

Senior supervisor: Uh-huh, okay, then that's that.

I thanked them again and left, but I regretted it a little! I should have said a few harsh words to them!

If you thought I was unsuitable as a secretary just by looking at my résumé, why did Cindy ask me to come for an interview?

Could you please respect interviewees' time? I waited from 3:00 until 4:00, and the person scheduled for 4:00 was also delayed by you!

So what if you're the senior supervisor? You're just a supervisor at Zhuo Pin, not my supervisor! I was invited by you to interview! I arrived early according to the scheduled time! I wore black leather shoes as required by you! I waited another 50 minutes to accommodate your supervisor! I respected you, but your supervisor treated me like a subordinate? She wouldn't even look me in the eye, talked to someone else right in front of me, and referred to me as “she”?

I genuinely feel that a supervisor who doesn't even know how to treat people decently won't be any better at dealing with people at work either~

She really was the kind of villainous supervisor you see in an eight-o'clock soap opera!

I completely wasted one hour commuting and two hours there—three precious hours in total!
