1. You can get a massage every month (if you manage to get a slot)

2. The company provides meals (if the rice is cooked through and the vegetables are hot, we count ourselves lucky)

3. There is a nurse (who really loves gossiping about other people)

4. There are fruits for worship on the second and sixteenth days of the lunar month (you get to pick up what the supervisors leave behind)

1. An extremely bureaucratic system. The boss basically asks and answers his own questions; if you don't go along with what he wants, just wait to be messed with.

2. The boss is strongly political. He may even express his personal political opinions halfway through a meeting, and will throw a fit if you don't like his political party.

3. They say they believe in democracy and want to build a happy company, but in reality, this is the most exploitative and overworked company of all (eye roll).

4. Factional infighting is obvious. The first and second generations don't get along; choose a side and the other side will target you, while trying to remain neutral turns you into a sandwich filling—you'll die even faster.

5. Pay and raises both depend on the supervisor's mood, with no consistent standards. Specialists who know how to lie and fake things, and assistants who work themselves to death, are everywhere.

6. Putting on a good front is absolutely more important than knowing how to get things done. Those who know how to pass the buck live comfortably, while those who actually do the work work themselves to death, putting in so much overtime that they start questioning their life.

7. The company's constantly changing directives and conflicting chains of command have been longstanding complaints. You often have no idea what you're actually doing.

8. Nonprofessionals direct the professionals. No matter the department, everything is centered on the business units—they have the final say.

9. Even the professional departments aren't necessarily much better. Managers and supervisors at every level who pretend to understand things they don't are everywhere.

After seeing so many supervisors and employees get mistreated, I specifically wrote this cautionary post.
