The following is a work experience review from an engineer and assistant engineer position in the Xizhi Quality Control Department:

1. The coworkers are all nice.

2. The parking lot is new and inexpensive.

3. You can see the dark side of society clearly early on.

4. After resigning, you may have the opportunity to join a decent company (because it’s hard to find one worse than that place).

1. The department was so terrible that a bunch of people left; then they hired new people, who left again. It was really a disaster.

2. Some supervisors have little ability and nothing but a mouth, yet the more they talk, the better they fare. Supervisors who work themselves to the bone are instead badmouthed behind their backs without even knowing it, and continue acting like slaves thinking they can get promoted.

3. The engineers are all basically a volunteer brigade. Overtime pay? What’s that? Never heard of it.

Someone once worked overtime until 9 p.m. every day for an entire week, but even their NT$100 late-meal allowance claim was blocked by management. (Luckily, at my current job, I can claim overtime pay to my heart’s content.)

4. The people at the top are very good at using rhetoric to hypnotize those below them—they could give multi-level marketing a run for its money. Wouldn’t it be better to go sell Amway instead? Why work in quality control…

5. The supervisors all look down on quality inspectors. They pretend to be friendly on the surface, but then like to dump tasks on them that exceed their original workload. They don’t earn that much in the first place—is there really any need to treat them this way?

6. In short, it’s just terrible. If I keep going, I’ll never finish writing this. Thanks, everyone, and Happy New Year~
