The interviewer’s attitude was quite good.
They asked the interviewee to spend 10 minutes introducing what the company does, which products it operates, its future development, and so on. That was very strange—shouldn’t the interviewer be explaining these things to the job candidate?
Apart from being polite, the interviewer did not explain the actual requirements of the position, the job duties, or the work environment. They only gave a general explanation when prompted by the candidate, and did not ask about the candidate’s professional experience.
Finally, they asked how much my previous job paid and whether I could come back for a second interview, and then it ended. (I traveled from central Taiwan to the company’s headquarters in Taipei for the interview.) It felt as though the hiring team did not know what they were trying to do.
